Cross Agricultural Engineering Ltd. are currently expanding the spray painting team and are seeking 1 candidate for a spray painter position who will also specialize in machinery prep. This is a full-time position and is based at the Cross factory in Rathangan Co.Kildare.
About the Company: Cross is a leading Engineering company that specializes in the design and manufacturing of Farm, Biogas, and commercial and food processing machinery. We offer a top-of-the-range service as standard to all our customers and would like to offer that training to our apprentices who get the opportunity to work with us. Currently, there are 40 staff working in a state-of-the-art factory. Cross currently has one spray painter but due to workload, there is a need for another spray painter.
About the job:
All machines are manufactured in-house in the Cross factory and the steel never goes outside or gets rusty. This means no need for shot blasting. The machines are coated and washed in an acid wash before spraying. This is to remove any impurities off the metal before painting. After washing the machine is brought to the heated spray booth where spraying occurs. At Cross we spray paint all our own machines in-house. Cross use a 2 pack airless paint system to coat the machines. This is carried out in a spray booth with air extraction and a filter system. The spray painter is also provided with an air fed head mask while spraying.
Spray painting aspect of this job includes:
Washing machines to prep for spraying
Primer spraying machines
Finish coat spraying machines
Cleaning spray systems out
This Job also entails prepping machinery for spraying and reconditioning second-hand machinery. The includes:
Washing and stripping used machinery
Sanding machinery
Spray painting used machinery
Pay: This will be discussed at the interview stage.
Requirements:
Past experience of spray painting is an advantage but not essential
Non-trained individuals will be considered. Training is provided.
Must be willing to wash and prep spray area and the machines.
Must be willing to prep second hand machines in for refurbishment.
