Description

Sheehy Motor Group is currently recruiting for Qualified Technicians for our Service Departments in Naas. We offer an excellent opportunity to further your career with one of Ireland’s premier motor retailers, working with a professional and dynamic aftersales team.

The successful candidate will have recent main dealer experience, with prestige brand experience desirable. Formal skills training with a recognised automotive organisation is essential. You must be a productive team player, able to work to deadlines and targets but also be self-motivated, organised with the ability to multi-task.

Key Responsibilities

As an experienced Technician you will be skilled in all aspects of vehicle repairs and servicing including diagnostics and electronics
You must be able to produce high quality work in a busy environment and be motivated through set targets, showing flexibility according to the needs of your team
Through the use of diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach, ensure vehicle faults are diagnosed and rectified.
Ensure full understanding of latest technology introduced on the vehicle range and how to diagnose and repair faults on them.
Carry out diagnosis, repairs and servicing to the highest standards and to the appropriate specification.
Ensure all work is carried out observing safe working practices of self and others.
Liaise and seek advice from colleagues and supervisors in situations that are over and above work specified.
Check level and quality of work through use of diagnostic equipment and road-testing vehicles after work has been carried out. Liaise with Service Advisor.
Complete relevant service documentation (Job sheets, PDI’s, service reports) in line with HSO, warranty and All Franchise requirements.
Ensure that workshop housekeeping standards are maintained at all times including the use of special and personal tools.
Key Individual Attributes

Formal skills training with a recognised automotive organisation is essential
A minimum of 2/3 years main dealer experience
A full clean Drivers Licence
A good understanding of both verbal and written English
You will be a committed individual with a positive, 'can do' attitude, and willingness to work as part of an effective team.
You will have good communication skills to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of work through the workshop, making sure you liaise with other team members to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Willingness to attend regular manufacturer training to ensure you are kept up to date with the latest models and techniques.
